For the first ten years of my career, I designed systems and wrote code.
Somewhere along the way, I started thinking about the "Why?" and "Why Now?" besides the "What?" and the "How?"
I moved to Silicon Valley, and got my first break as a Product Manager. I loved it!
I've worked as an executive product leader in diverse industries such as cybersecurity, networking, education, aviation, space broadband, retail.
I spent a few years in India as cofounder of Institute of Product Leadership.
I conducted product management programs for many companies such as ADP, Cisco, CA, Microsoft, Neustar, Globe Telecom, VMWare in United States, India, Europe and Southeast Asia.
We launched the world's first EMBA in Product Leadership in India in partnership with two universities.
Over the last 30 years, I have learnt a ton by:
building great products,
working with great people, and
teaching/coaching aspiring product leaders.
I've made my share of mistakes. It's the best way to learn!
It was challenging, no doubt, but everything worthwhile usually is!
Now, I coach the next generation of product leaders do it better by increasing their product's impact and thereby growing their careers.
I also work with startups as a fractional product management and product marketing lead.
So, I invite you to follow along.
If there is anything I can help you with in your journey, I'd be honored to have the opportunity.
